The Key Conversations

Raising the Standard of Muslim Institutions

Keynote

Raising the Standard of Muslim Institutions

Muslim institutions are growing in scale and ambition, but scale without credibility is fragile. This opening keynote asks the question that matters most: are we building institutions that are genuinely good enough for the people they are meant to serve?

Speakers

Mahmuda Khan

Global CEO, Human Concern International

When Power Tests Your Conscience

Keynote

When Power Tests Your Conscience

Leadership is easy to discuss and far harder to practise when the costs are real. This session examines what it means to hold power faithfully, and what leadership requires when conviction carries a personal or political price.

Speakers

Rt. Hon. Humza Yousaf MSP

Former First Minister of Scotland

Collective Capital

Breakout Panel

Collective Capital

Muslim philanthropic capital is significant, but too often it is deployed through disconnected channels. This session asks what it would take for funders, platforms, and institutions to move in the same direction and convert shared intent into structural impact.

Speakers

Ismael Dalnehine

Founder and CEO, EverGive

Build a Nation

Breakout Panel

Build a Nation

What does it take to rebuild institutions that have lost public trust? This session brings together leaders shaped by national transition, humanitarian response, and long-term institution-building to examine what rebuilding requires in practice.

Speakers

From Personality to Infrastructure

Breakout Panel

From Personality to Infrastructure

Many of the most impactful Muslim organisations were built by exceptional individuals. This session examines what it takes to move from founder-led momentum to durable institution-building, and what leaders must build, and relinquish, for that transition to hold.

Speakers

Maternal Health Collaboration

Planery Panel

Maternal Health Collaboration

Maternal mortality in Muslim-majority communities remains one of the most preventable humanitarian failures of our time. Using maternal health as a live case study, this session explores what genuine cross-sector Muslim-led collaboration can achieve when organisations act in coordination rather than in parallel.

Speakers

M. Firaaz Azeez

Executive Director, Humaniti

State of the Ummah

Keynote

State of the Ummah

Shared direction requires shared understanding. This session offers an honest picture of the Muslim world in 2026, its strengths, its fault lines, and the cost of continuing without greater alignment.

Speakers

CEO, Mercy Mission UK
